Chimney Rock, Point Reyes Engagement Session
I was in awe when we arrived at the most gorgeous view I’ve ever seen for Julianne and Anthony’s Chimney Rock, Point Reyes engagement session. I couldn’t believe we were actually getting to shoot in such a magical place! I’m even a little shocked the Bay Area weather cooperated with us with clear skies in February ;)
Getting to know Julianne and Anthony was so super fun! These two are so laid back, cuddly, and sweet! They both are always putting each other first, including making comforting each other a top priority! I could see that even during our short time together! These two are also up for anything. When I suggested this location with was hours out of the way, they didn’t just trust me and agree, they were excited! They said they have lived in the Bay Area their entire lives but have never been to Point Reyes and were thrilled to go somewhere they had never been! I loved it that we got to experience this magical place for the first time together for their Chimney Rock, Point Reyes engagement session!

“We had an instant connection that I’ve never had with anyone else before. It was so different from anything else I had ever experienced. I was just so infatuated with him. Probably instantly once we started to get to know each other is when I knew I wanted to marry him. I was in cosmetology school at the time and would refer to him as my “future husband” to my friends at school lol!! Several years went by together and we talked about marriage like any other couple. Then I just started to bug him about it. It became somewhat of a joke between us that every time he told me he loved me or said something sweet I’d just point to my ring finger haha! He proposed at Christmas in the park here in San Jose on December 27th, 2017.
We have so many great memories together… I think some of my favorite memories always revolve around our similar love of music and when we get to travel together. My absolute favorite memory might be our first kiss though, as cliche and cheesy as that sounds. We were getting off the freeway in his car, on the way to my house. He played the end of a song before a song that is kind of “our song” (Don’t Let Go, Just Don’t by Hellogoodbye) and I kind of just had a feeling it was coming. We pulled up to my apartment and I panicked and went to get out of the car. He said “wait” and when I turned around he kissed me. The song was playing in the background and it was perfect and sweet.” -Julianne

“Even when I first met her I felt connected to her on a special level I had never felt with anyone else previously. I would say the most prominent feelings at the beginning of our friendship were support. I found myself always wanting to be there for her, to help any way that I could with problems she may be going through. It was not long after we started dating that I knew I wanted to marry her. I was going through a very difficult time while our actual relationship started developing. I remember thinking often, how could someone love me and care so unconditionally while I’m at such a low point? I think about that often, even to this day. The love and warmth she showed me allowed me to get back on my feet at an all-time low. Ever since that point, she has continued to improve my life in just about every way, so spending the rest of my life with her was a no-brainer!
One of my favorite memories together was before we had actually started dating, she drove us out to Santa Cruz which is her hometown. I’ve always been a fan, but it was a special night as she took me to one of the less traveled beaches that I had never been to. We spent the night listening to great music as we looked over the waves and connecting over past heartbreaks while she made me optimistic for the future during a time I was really struggling to stay happy. It caught me off guard in the best possible way!” -Anthony
