Exploring:
Yellowstone
I’m going to be honest. I’ve never really thought that highly of Yellowstone National Park compared to other areas of the west. I usually credit this to not seeing Yellowstone until after the first time I visited Glacier National Park. After seeing Glacier, it’s easy to forget not all of the parks in the area have the dramatic peaks and glass lakes. Between that and the crazy amounts of tourists I experienced the first time there, I didn’t think I’d be back so soon.
As it turns out, we had a day in between a Glacier Park wedding and a Grand Teton engagement session during the second half of our Northwest road trip. Since Vincent had never seen Yellowstone, we decided it’s probably a must to see it at least once. So we went, and I now have a greater appreciation for Yellowstone!(And the Tetons. Those are stunning!) Vincent took so many awesome photos and they helped me see the beauty in this park! I now feel a little more excited about this place and I’m sure we will stop in again sometime soon.

Exploring:
Grand Teton
Now, the Grand Tetons have been on my bucket list for years!! A friend of mine worked as a ranger here and has told me all about it’s beauty and remoteness. It’s often overlooked since it is so close to the very famous Yellowstone National Park.
I was SO excited that the first time I was going to be able to see it was for an engagement session. Before arriving I did a ton of research to find the very best spots for sunset (especially since the sun will set over the mountains.) We arrived with a full day dedicated to adventuring, location scouting, and relaxing in hammocks by the water.
Our dirty Prius -per usual!!
I’m just dancing to 60’s music on the side of the road. Nothing to see here.
Ok, I have to talk about the engagement session I shot here (just a little bit!!) before I can move on.
Keri & Jen were SO MUCH FUN. But also crazy sweet. They made sure that Vincent and I had pictures of us together in this magical place before we parted ways. That NEVER happens. So here are the very last images from the trip! (I’m obsessed!!)
Saving the best for last! This is one of my new favorites of us!!

Ps. if you are looking for another drop-dead gorgeous spot in this area, you MUST check out Beartooth Highway. It is located Northeast of Yellowstone and it is such an amazing experience! I’ve got it listed here in my travel map so you won’t forget!!
