Mark & Lorelei started their wedding weekend with an emotional ceremony that was bathed in golden California sun. The ceremony took place beneath a tree that is very special to them. If you haven’t seen it already, you may want to check that out first!

To follow that touching event, they held a picnic reception at a local San Rafael park. Lorelei is the master at planning events with personality. She rented a giant Jenga tower, a giant game of Connect Four, hula hoops and inflatable ponies to make this wedding event so much fun! The mood was care-free as everyone bounced around to each activity to battle their partner on the lawn. I had SUCH a blast, so I know all her guests did as well!

Each drink tag, mason jar vase, sign, centerpiece, blanket, and pillow set was handmade by Lorelei. Everything you encountered at this reception was so personalized, you couldn’t help but feel like it was made just for you. Everywhere you looked you found something that made you feel cared for, as Lorelei made her entire event revolve around the experience of the guest.

When no one was looking, Mark and Lorelei snuck off to have their first dance. You could tell it was a quiet moment for them, as they whispered into each other’s ears and held on tight to each other. The rest of the day had been so full of life with close friends and family near, but now they could finally have this time for just the two of them. As they danced near the bay, a few tears fell, and that made us all feel the deep love that they share. Congratulations to my dear new friends, Mark + Lorelei!
