An Emotional Colorado Wedding
Savannah and Greer had their wedding at the Farish Recreation Area in Woodland Park, CO. As soon as you arrived, you could tell it was going to be a very laid-back atmosphere. The vibe felt like everyone had known each other for years even though some were meeting for the first time. There was lots of beer, laughter, and even a few dogs on the dance floor.
Savannah’s wedding gown blew me away with its gorgeous details and elegance. In combination with her amazing arm sheaf bouquet by Twigs & Posies, I just couldn’t get enough! I found it so touching that she included a family heirloom in her accessories– her grandmother’s necklace. All these pieces combined with Savannah’s natural beauty, flowing hair, and bright spirit made photographing her just so easy.
When it came time for Savannah and Greer to meet each other at the alter under Pikes Peak, I knew it was going to be an especially emotional moment for them. If there is one thing I have noticed about these two, it’s that they each bring out unique emotions in the other person more than I’ve ever seen in a couple before. Sometimes its as simple as their hands touching to bring each other comfort, even if it’s just for a moment. Other times, especially during the wedding day, it’s wiping away each other’s tears. Their dynamic was such a joy to witness!
Congrats Savannah & Greer! I cannot wait to come back to Colorado Springs and visit!
