A Whitefish Mountain Resort Wedding
Mikaila and Kyle had their scenic Whitefish Mountain Resort wedding on the most lovely June day. Starting with a slow morning at the campgrounds in the backyard, to setting up the reception space on the family estate, we knew it was going to be a very laid back day. In the afternoon, everyone gathered on top of Whitefish Mountain to see Mikaila and Kyle finally get married!
Mikaila has the most gentle soul I’ve ever encountered. It doesn’t surprise me that she picked such a peaceful entrance to her wedding –riding up a scenic ski lift while listening to the birds chirping. I just adored the flowers in her hair, it just seems to fit her calm nature.
The night ended with a private estate reception where Mikaila and Kyle really let their personalities and those of their guests shine. Between the camp fire, fireworks, or opting for ice cream instead of cake, everyone couldn’t stop talking about how unique of a wedding this was! I’m so excited to share the photos from this day and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Mikaila and Kyle!!
“We met through our families. His grandma and my grandma have been best friends for about 40 years, so our moms grew up together. Our families always went camping together and they’re still very close. So we’ve been friends our whole lives.
The beginning was like the movies! At least from my perspective… we spent the summer really getting to know each other. We went camping in our families’ favorite spot and watched the night sky from a canoe. I really knew he was the one very early on.”
From the Bride
“If I had to give just one reason I want to marry him, it would be for his heart. He deeply cares about me and it shows in the way he treats me and how much fun we are always having together. He is always there to cheer me up or make me laugh, which I really appreciate.
One of my favorite qualities of his is his humor! Someone I can have fun and laugh at the simplest things with is something that was high on my list when I was looking for someone to spend forever with. I think it’s really important to have fun with the person you love.”
